Small acts of kindness will always make a difference to someone

Article Abstract:

The charity Community Service Volunteers is seeking to encourage more Britons to become involved in voluntary work. For this reason, it has arranged Make a Difference Day, to be held on Nov 1, 1997. When this event was held in 1996, 9,000 people undertook 430 projects, including creating a wild flower meadow and renovating an old railway station. The charity hopes that in 1997 some people will feel a need to do something in their community as a practical memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales.
