Springtime for the TV networks

Challenge of a market that does not shout

Article Abstract:

The value of trading of the US National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations Systems (Nasdaq) is twice that of ANASD's Automated Quotations system. It challenged the Dow and overtook the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the London International Stock Exchange in 1992. The financial futures markets look at Nasdaq's 100 instead of the Dow. Nasdaq's 4,000 issues comprise a majority of foreign companies and many maturing firms.
