Surfing the international airways

Article Abstract:

A number of companies in the travel industry are developing plans to offer services over the Internet. These include Thomas Cook, which is set to provide access to two of the leading five computer-reservation systems (CRSs) via subscriber-only commercial networks, and PhoneLink, which has announced plans to allow access to the Worldspan computer-reservations system directly from 1996. Airlines are also gradually allowing customers to access their CRS inventories directly.

Surfing the secrets of the money trade

Article Abstract:

The Internet contains a wide range of valuable information for amateur investors. It is particularly worth consulting news groups, as they can give the amateur investor a feeling of community. It is also important to seek professional information, rather than just exchanging comments with other amateurs. The Internet has a number of sources of share price information, and also has many sites offering general or specific financial information.

Web poets' society

Article Abstract:

Many people who aim to become successful poets are now placing their work on the Internet, especially the World Wide Web. The UK's Poetry Society has also been placing the work of established poets, such as Byron and Keats, on the Internet. In this way, poetry is becoming accessible to people who would never consider buying a poetry magazine or a book of poetry.
