Table talk turns to structural issue of unemployment

Article Abstract:

International conferences such as the current Group of Seven meeting in Lyons, France, now give much more attention to unemployment than they did in the past. As part of this debate, attention is beginning to be given to the structural changes taking place between the developed world and the less developed world. However, there is still a failure to recognise the importance of structural changes taking place within developing countries. Significant issues such as youth unemployment have been addressed in a political way, rather than trying to understand why they are taking place.

Taking the plunge

Article Abstract:

Scuba diving has become an extremely popular form of activity holiday. For those wishing to learn to scuba dive, the Red Sea is the ideal location, as it offers clear, warm water and very interesting marine life. It is important to participate in a scuba diving course, usually with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. Scuba diving offers a friendly, relaxing environment, and is therefore an attractive alternative to skiing.

Several funerals and an opportunity

Article Abstract:

The UK government has decided to allocate 84 million pounds of National Lottery funds to the film industry. This is in fact only a very small sum by international standards, and film industry leaders have stated that it will not be enough to revive the ailing UK film industry. However, additional funding would not necessarily lead to improved standards.
