The Americans are coming

Article Abstract:

American securities houses such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have only a handful of employees in London but expect to play a very active part in corporate finance and dealing in securities in Europe's financial markets. It has ben said that the US institutions expect to dominate the securities market in London within a decade, with many smaller UK houses failing. The size and capital strength of these organisations is very strong and they would be well placed for a show of aggression.
