The Internet way to find capital investors

Article Abstract:

Companies operating in countries in which English is the main language of the business community or is widely spoken have an advantage over their counterparts in other countries in gaining access to capital. This is because capital market activities are based on a single language standard. The Internet is set to have a significant impact on access to capital, providing a new way of identifying investment opportunities. Any company seeking to raise capital should regard the Internet as another means of locating potential investors.

Nations move to develop their brand identity

Article Abstract:

Relatively little attention has been given to the fact that countries are becoming increasingly obliged to behave like companies. Potential international investors are now comparing different countries, and this means that countries have to adopt best-practice policies. There is growing evidence of corporate management attitudes and techniques as countries seek to establish a clear brand identity. In contrast, companies are developing market features that have traditionally been associated with countries, such as patriotism.
