The karma chameleon

Article Abstract:

It is very easy to see whether people who run a restaurant are really committed to the business, according to restaurateur Oliver Peyton. He is now trying to appeal to the same sort of people who used to attend his nightclubs. He strongly believes that restaurants are a vital element in a country's underlying psyche, as being able to socialize in a positive way in a restaurant has a beneficial impact on the country as a whole. He is not particularly concerned about attracting famous people to his restaurants.

Your heritage, by post

Article Abstract:

Lady Victoria Leatham, antiques expert, has linked with Elizabeth Nicholl to launch Ancestral Collections, a mail order catalogue which offers hand-crafted reproductions of valuable antiques. Many of these closely resemble the original article, and satisify the ambitions of middle class purchasers to emulate the aristocracy. The venture is also helping impoverished aristocratic families too, as part of the money from each sale goes to the upkeep of the house from which the purchase originated.

By the light of the moon

Article Abstract:

The city of Valletta, Malta, offers many attractions for visitors. It has fine baroque architecture, and has been designated a Unesco world heritage site. Places of particular interest include the Merchant's Street market stalls and the St Paul Shipwrecked church. It is widely believed that Valletta has no nightlife, but this is not the case. Its narrow streets appear deserted, but visitors who search carefully will find the occasional bar.
