The mother of a struggle

Article Abstract:

Being committed to organic farming can bring many difficulties, according to Margaret Purdey. Family life has been very hard since her husband Mark, an organic farmer, began campaigning against organophosphates (OPs), which he believes are responsible for BSE in cattle. She has had to face a great deal of hostility, and has often been in financial hardship. She believes that the farm has been targeted by supporters of the chemical industry, who have burned down buildings and cut telephone lines.

Vermont

Article Abstract:

The state of Vermont offers considerable attractions for people seeking a skiing holiday, although snowfall can sometimes be unreliable. It is worth considering the small resort of Bromley, which is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary. It offers friendly staff, a very good creche for up to 60 children and is less expensive than larger resorts such as nearby Statton Mountain. The resort is extremely attractive, being situated against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

I never got a moment's peace

Article Abstract:

Many working mothers find a family holiday very stressful. They are accustomed to having someone else to look after their children for most of the year, and cannot understand why their children are demanding and uncooperative on holiday. The main problem is that the children of the women who work hardest are the ones who are most demanding on holiday, as they expect to spend all their time with their mother.
