They help the lost to be found

Article Abstract:

The Missing Persons Bureau (MPB) was established in 1989 as a helpline and evolved into a large organisation in Jul 1992. Computers in the south London, England, headquarters handle thousands of cases and can 'age' photographic images. About 250,000 people are missing in the UK, 100,000 of whom are under 18. Many run away from violence or abuse but some adults choose to disappear, leaving relatives distraught with worry. The MPB has 15 volunteers who man 20 telephone lines 24 hours a day.

Men behaving baldly

Article Abstract:

Many men are alarmed when they begin to go bald, even though this is very common in men as they grow older. Male hair loss can be associated with a significant decrease in psychological well-being, making men feel depressed and unwilling to socialise. This is why there is constant demand for new products and procedures which could reverse baldness. Men often fail to realise that women are not really concerned by their hair loss.

To baldly go where no mane's grown before

Article Abstract:

Men who are going bald are often very unhappy with their appearance, especially as bald men have traditionally been the subject of many jokes. However, a new attitude to baldness is emerging in the 1990s. Baldness is starting to be seen much more positively, being connected with naturalness, strength and masculinity.
