'Tis the HO HO HO season

Article Abstract:

The Christmas holidays can be a very trying time for groom shop owners particularly when dog groomers are hard to come by. Strategies which can ease the pressure include the restriction of customers to old clients during the two weeks before Christmas and hiring additional help to do routine work, such as answering the phone or meeting clients. Cash bonuses are an excellent incentive for employees. The equipment should be kept in excellent condition to avoid delays. A sense of humor is essential when the pressure becomes too much to bear.

Add a touch of pizzazz! With holiday touches

Article Abstract:

Pet groomers must use their imagination and creativity in making pets look attractive even outside of competition. Pets may be groomed using bows made from different materials available from art supply and craft stores. The pet groomer may match the bows with the season or the customer's outfit. A willing customer may try out different colors for the animal's fur using nontoxic vegetable dyes used in cakes. Adding pizzazz to the pet groomer's creation will bring him more customers and increase in profits.
