To pick the best christmas gadgets, take a look into the future

Article Abstract:

It is wise to exercise some caution when selecting electronic gadgets as presents for Christmas 1997. It is important to think ahead, considering whether new technology likely to be implemented in the near future will make certain electronic equipment obsolete. When choosing a television, for example, it is worth looking at those that offer Surround Sound and wide-screen format. Games consoles have become very sophisticated, and are now relatively inexpensive. There are also many interesting computer games available.
