The consortium is comprised of Arena Leisure, BSkyB, and Channel 4. David Scott of Go Racing said NTL's involvement would complete "the essential UK elements required to maximise revenues and the profile of British racing". Go Racing is competing for the television rights with the television group Carlton. The Racecourse Association, which is conducting the negotiations on behalf of the UK's 59 racecourses, is expected to announce the winning bidder shortly.
