Vicky and Al's big adventure

Article Abstract:

Daniel Libeskind, designer of the Boilerhouse extension to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England, which is reaching the final approval stages, has attracted considerable controversy. This is clear in Berlin, Germany, where he has been rejected as a destroyer of the city but where his Jewish Museum, which is due to open in summer 1998, has actually become a key attraction. He showed great intellectual rigour and passion when designing this museum, and this was also the case with his extension to the Victoria and Albert Museum, known as the Spiral.
