Violation by virtual rape

Article Abstract:

American student Jake Baker has become the first individual to stand trial for a 'cyersex' crime, being accused of using the Internet to transmit obscene material which may pose a threat to a person's life. He claims that he was making use of his right to free speech by posting fantasies about a fellow student on an Internet message board, but the court has found that there is good reason for him to stand trial for interstate transmission of a threat.

A suitable case for treatment

Article Abstract:

Novelist, screewriter, producer and director Michael Crichton has often based his works on human anxieties. He has already produced some of the most successful films ever, such as 'Jurassic Park,' and is now moving into television with 'Emergency Room (ER),' which has already been extremely successful in the US. This once more echoes his key theme of building on human paranoia, making unlikely events seem plausible.

How many fantasies can one man have?

Article Abstract:

Photographer Helmut Newton has attracted considerable controversy with his pictures of almost naked women, often in provocative poses. His critics claim that he has helped to make pornography acceptable, but he denies that he is a sexual fantasist or that he degrades women. He now prefers to work to commission only, an approach which gives him a specific framework for his work.
