Wanted: Historians to deliberate tellingly on the role of the gnomes

Article Abstract:

Switzerland has recently established a commission to investigate the country's Nazi links. However, this issue is surrounded with much bureaucracy, and it is likely to be a long time before survivors of the Holocaust or relatives of those who died in the Holocaust receive any compensation. Similar investigations are also being carried out in a number of other European countries, including France and Portugal. However, Europe has still yet to uncover a lot of what happened during the second world war, and has made very little progress with coming to terms with it.

Chinese bring black economy to the blue Danube

Article Abstract:

It is believed that up to 30,000 Chinese now live in Hungary. Almost all the items sold by Chinese traders in eastern Europe are sent via Budapest, Hungary, and a strong cash-in-hand economy has been established. Hungary was initially attractive to people wishing to leave China because it was the only country where Chinese people did not require a visa. This has now changed, but it is still possible to obtain a visa through bribery at the Hungarian embassy in Peking, China.
