We made it feel mighty real

Article Abstract:

The Embassy club in London, England, was extremely popular as soon as it opened in Apr 1978. It was blatantly bisexual, and had clear links with gay culture. Its unique atmosphere resulted from a mix of flamboyant decadence and the presence of celebrities. It brought together many different sorts of people, and made clients feel as though they were part of a privileged elitist group. There was a highly charged sexual atmosphere, but the club was not merely a pick-up joint.

Is she really going out with him?

Article Abstract:

It is common for Hollywood films to portray young women dating much older men. In real life, such relationships can be problematic. In many cases, the older man is in the relationship simply because he wants to feel younger. Older men often make themselves look ridiculous by trying to dress and behave as if they were much younger. They are frequently weak men who lack the strength of character to deal with a woman who benefits from youth and sexual power.
