When you want to cut a conservative dash

Article Abstract:

Convertible hatchbacks, the Rover 216 Cabriolet and the Renault 19 16V Cabriolet, cost more and are less practical than hard-tops but make style statements. The Renault has more character with its steel panel twin fairings to hide the hood. The flush-fitting panel completely encases the hood and permits good visibility; the rear windows go completely down. The Rover boot is 20% bigger and it has push button hood operation. The Rover produces maximum power at 6,800 so more gear changing is necessary.
