Article Abstract:

Police investigations into the death of US crime writer Eugene Izzi have uncovered events which closely resemble those described in Izzi's own books. He was found dangling from a rope outside the open window of his locked office, with notes in his pockets about white supremacist groups which had threatened him. He had become very concerned about death threats, and had predicted his own murder. His death initially appeared to be suicide, but his associates now feel that it was more likely that he was murdered.

The recent re-election of president Bill Clinton can be attributed to a considerable extent to the influence of Hillary Clinton. She has proved a valuable tool in attracting female support for Bill Clinton, and is known to influence her husband's views. She has shown that she has talent and intellect, and will be at the centre of decision-making in the new administration. She will particularly influential in working on behalf of disenfranchised Americans.

Article Abstract:

The recent heatwave in Chicago has been responsible for a large number of deaths, with most of the victims being poor and old. Chicago has an emergency plan for dealing with cold weather, but no provisions have ever been made for assisting people who may fall victim to extremely hot weather. City authorities are now having to admit that they were unprepared and that many of the deaths were avoidable.
