Yes, I'll sign this position against globalisation, but...

Article Abstract:

Globalization, in the sense of increased liberalization of investment and trade, has been seen as the cause of a number of problems such as increased inequality world wide, problems with food safety, and climate change. International business enterprises are seen as bullies by some commentators and able to control both governments and primary products. There is a need to separate the impact of technological change from that of freer markets. Unemployment and food safety are affected by technological change, and inequality is affected by economic globalization.

OECD: GOVERNMENTS SET FOR LABOUR DEAL

Article Abstract:

An international agreement could be signed by Organisation of Economic Co-operation & Development (OECD) governments that would legally oblige multinationals to eradicate the use of forced labour and child labour. However, the Mexican government is threatening to hamper the deal, claiming that US investors subsequently may be deterred from what is described as the maquiladora manufacturing belt. The deal would eradicate the use of such labour practices by suppliers and customers of multinationals and would also enhance their environmental standards.
