Article Abstract:

It is vital to increase public transport capacity in London, England, according to MP Ken Livingstone, who is seeking to become the city's mayor. He believes that local government in London should operate on the German additional member system. He is in favour of strict privacy legislation, and also believes that steps should be taken to protect trade union members' rights. He feels that former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher destroyed the quality of life for the majority of ordinary Britons.

Article Abstract:

Everybody should have the right to enjoy a private life, even if they work in politics, according to former Prime Minister Edward Heath. He believes that successful political leaders need stamina, good luck and patience. He feels that current Conservative party leader William Hague should seek to develop clear policies, but should also ensure that he remains his natural self. He was interested in politics from an early age, and always had a strong desire to get things done.
