Article Abstract:

Dame Shirley Porter, former Conservative leader of Westminster City Council in London, England, feels vindicated after having been cleared by the Court of Appeal of wilful misconduct. She hopes that people will now look at this case in a completely different way. She cares what other people think about her, but particularly cares what her family think. She feels that the historical figure with whom she identifies most closely is Emmeline Pankhurst, who was willing to fight the establishment.

Article Abstract:

UK Home Secretary Jack Straw believes that he would have remained at the bar if he had not entered politics. He regards himself as a socialist, and feels that he has not lost the radicalism of his youth. He would not advise his children to avoid a career in politics. He enjoys reading in order to relax, but is also interested in music, football and walking. The politician he admires most is Nelson Mandela.
