A study of fundamental mechanisms of warp and recoil in hemming
Article Abstract:
Recoil and warp are surface defects caused by hemming operations that may result in permanent deterioration of the product quality, as hemming is generally the final forming process. A study of their occurrence during flat surface-straight edge hemming process and how they are influenced by the geometrical and process parameters is presented.
