A surplus of women

Article Abstract:

Census data charts illustrate that most women do not face a permanent single life but rather a delay in marriage. Besides the shortage of men, there are other factors influencing the postponement of marriage such as higher education, feminism, greater acceptance of premarital sex, and birth control methods.

Blue-collars in eclipse

Article Abstract:

An estimated 63 percent of workers were employed in the manufacturing employment and agriculture in 1840 as compared to the prevalent two percent workers. The blue-collar jobs in manufacturing which is at eight percent may fall to two percent level before 21st century.

Teen sex in America: Virginity into the third millennium takes an uptick

Article Abstract:

Statistics reveal a high rate of virginity among US teenagers in the 21st century than earlier. Risks of unwanted pregnancies, fear of HIV infection, a stable family background and improved sex education for adolescents are the causes for this trend.
