Adaptive mutation: who's really in the garden?

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that DNA can change in response to biological needs, which contradicts the neo-Darwinian position that mutations occur regardless of biological requirements. The research also indicates that functions associated with plasma transfer are involved in adaptive mutation.

Unusual mutational mechanisms and evolution

Article Abstract:

Some researchers criticize studies that claim to demonstrate directed mutation as lacking proper controls and not sufficiently accounting for population dynamics. Various points of view in the debate are presented.

Minisatellites and human disease

Article Abstract:

Hypervariable minisatellites, a class of repetitive DNA sequences, have been shown to be an influential factor in the risk of inherited diseases. Recent research findings are described.
