Atlanta to reclaim its water system

Article Abstract:

The management of the water distribution system will change hands on April 29, 2003 in Atlanta when the city assumes the responsibility for supplying drinking water to its residents. The contractual aggrement between the city and United Water, Inc. will terminate on that date because of flaws in the contract.

Stockton awards design contract for Delta Water Supply Project

Article Abstract:

The city of Stockton, California, has awarded contracts worth $202 million to CDM and HDR, Inc. for the construction of a surface water treatment plant for the city. HDR will design the intake and pumping station, while CDM will design the re maining components.
