Battle is joined over gamma bursts

Article Abstract:

Bohdan Paczynski and Donald Lamb debated the source of gamma ray bursts at a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Harlow Shapley and Herber Curtis 1920 debate. Paczynski argued that the bursts are generated by neutron stars near the Milky Way. Paczynski believes the source is much further away.

A familiar face for a distant galaxy?
