Lateral earth pressure problem of cohesive backfill with inclined surface

Analytical expressions are assessed for the calculation of backfill pressure in retaining wall construction. Subjects include planar shear surfaces, arbitrarily stratified soil deposits, differing degrees of soil saturation and external loading.
