Article Abstract:

University of California in San Francisco anti-tobacco crusader and medical researcher Stan Glantz has done more for the anti-tobacco movement than anyone in his five year crusade against the industry. Glantz has taken confidential corporate memos from tobacco companies and used these against the companies to prove that they knew of the ill health effects of tobacco.

Optics experts are considering the use of highly-perforated films, such as gold and metal films, in flat panel displays in order to improve their visibility and color. These films have been proven to allow light to pass easily, thereby creating a more distinct and colorful view.

InVitro International developed a nonanimal test to evaluate chemicals' effect on skin that is cheap and in demand among chemical companies. The Dept of Transportation approved the test, which complies to its chemical shipping laws.
