Bumpy Flying

Article Abstract:

Hydrodynamics specialist Frank E. Fish has applied specific characteristics of whale flippers to mechanical aerodynamic designs to improve functional performance. Applications include ship rudders, helicopter rotors, and aircraft wings and propellers.
