Can less be more?

Article Abstract:

This article examines the superior strength and performance characteristics of the high-performance steel in relation to its cost for using in any construction undertakings. Research indicates that the most economical use of the material is in hybrid designs consisting of grade 50 for the webs and flanges and grade 70 for the top and bottom flanges.

The researchers at Arizona State University's Center for Alternative Building Studies (CABS) revealed the advantages of using environmental friendly papercrete, used in construction of buildings. Paperecrete is created from waste paper, cement and other ingredients.
