Chemicals behind Gulf War syndrome?

Article Abstract:

A private study reported that exposure to a combination of toxic agents used by Gulf War soldiers caused the same range of symptoms in chickens that had been reported by veterans. Previous single-chemical tests had not produced the symptoms, and the Defense Dept could not identify any specific disease.

New fatty acid-based signals: a lesson from the plant world

Recent research has advanced understanding of the triggers for the release of volatile compounds certain plants emit to attract predatory or parasitic insects. The research may also advance understanding of recognition phenomenon in plant biology.
