Measurement of regulated and unregulated exhaust emissions from a lawn mower with and without an oxidizing catalyst: a comparison of two different fuels

Article Abstract:

A lawn mower engine fueled with two different fuels, combined both with and without and oxidizing catalyst, were examined in the following study to gather information on exhaust characterization. Significant emission reductions were made by utilizing a catalyst, and the largest reduction is achieved by using both a catalyst system and an environmentally improved fuel. Data is presented which illustrates that lawn mower engine emissions are still large although there is room for improvement.

Comparision of exhaust emissions from Swedish environmental classified diesel fuel (MK1) and European program on emissions, fuels and engine technologies (EPEFE) reference fuel: a chemical and biological characterization, with viewpoints on cancer risks

Article Abstract:

This study provides a comparison between Sweden's environmentally classified diesel fuel and the reference fuel, which is used in the European Program on Emissions, Fuels and Engine Technologies program. The comparison involves measurements of emissions, both regulated and unregulated. A Volvo truck was used for the emissions comparison.
