Battle Over a Dying Sea

Article Abstract:

The Salton Sea is a large desert lake 150 miles east of San Diego. The lake began in 1905 when the Colorado River was diverted from its banks into a depression in the desert. Experts are debating about whether to take measures to save the artificial lake though there is no easy remedy for the problems of the lake.
