Digital antennas for digital TV broadcasts slated in 1998 may be needed for receiving good signals. Idiot-proof antennas for digital TV such as MegaWave's MTV-1 from Boylston, MA, and Metropolitan and Suburban antenna models from Day Sequerra of Mt. Laurel, NJ, need no user adjustments.

Sound Vision Inc.'s Digital Camera is a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor camera that is cheaper than cameras with charge-coupled device. Digital Camera can also be utilized as source of data for PCs and transmission of pictures for videoconferencing.

TV's digital future

The first experimental broadcast for digital high-definition TV is expected to occur in the spring of 1997 from the Empire State Building. Digital TV units will also be introduced for mass consumption by 1998.
