Article Abstract:
The capabilities and multimedia possibilities inherent in Apple Computer Inc's QuickTime operating system enhancement are discussed. In one demonstration, a video tape was edited to include Apple Computer's John Sculley in a major track meet. Other applications are discussed.

Lithium-ion hits the road
Article Abstract:
Sony Corp. and Nissan are developing lithium-ion batteries for the latter's electric concept car. The two companies believe that lithium-ion batteries can outperform ordinary car batteries since they can generate stronger current and have strong resistance against corrosion.

Mazda's Hydrogen Miata; engine technology
Article Abstract:
Mazda Motor Corp is developing a hydrogen-fueled rotary engine and is hoping to have it in limited production by 1995. The engine, being tested in a Miata, has produced 118 horsepower. It is estimated that mass production can not be accomplished for many years.
