Entrepreneurial rewards and economic performance: an empirical study of the best small companies

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the relationship of CEO compensation and economic performance in small- and medium-sized firms in the US. Results indicate that there is a positive relationship between CEO's compensation and a company's economic performance, specifically with regard to the market-based performance of small and mid-sized firms. A firm's market-based performance significantly affects the CEO's cash-based salary, bonus and total compensation.

Technological innovations in Indian small enterprises: Dimensions, intensity and implications

Article Abstract:

The factors contributing to the innovative activities that are undertaken by Small Enterprises (SE) in Karnataka State, India, in order to improve competitiveness, are discussed. The policy makers should reorient India's Small Enterprise Policy emphasis from support through technology transfer to support to in-house technological innovations that lend greater stability to SE development.

E-commerce and management of channel conflict: Evidence from small manufacturing firms in the UK

Article Abstract:

The management of 'channel conflict' is perceived as one of the main barriers to the adoption of e-commerce by small firms. Based on ten case studies, some new evidence is presented on how small manufacturing firms in the UK manage the potential conflict of channel distributions when adopting e-commerce.
