Fighting cancer by attacking its blood supply

Researchers may be able to develop a new cancer treatment if they are able to discover how to keep mutated cells from causing neovascularization, or the development of new capillaries. Neovascularization, or angiogenesis, seems to be a major factor in the development of large, malignant tumors.
