Generating function methods in single-molecule spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

An introduction to the generating function (GF) method was presented to show formalism applied to the field of single-molecule spectroscopy (SMS). It was suggested that continual evolution of experimental single-molecule techniques prescribed that new theories and computational algorithms be developed for the purpose of interpreting SMS measurements.

Switchable nonlinear optical metallochromophores with pyridinium electron acceptor groups

Article Abstract:

Synthetic chemistry determined investigations in the nonlinear optical (NLO) research field were summarized to focus on the quadratic NLO properties of ruthenium complexes. It was established that ruthenium complexes were versatile and organotransition metal complexes had much to offer as NLO chromophores.

Dynamics of the photoexcited electron at the chromophore-semiconductor interface

Article Abstract:

The article explains the dynamics of the photoexcited electrons present at the interface of a chromophore and a semiconductor. The exact rates and the branching ratio of the electron transfer depend on several factors, including the semiconductor type, its bulk phase and the type of the chromophore.
