Hold that thought: computers read minds

Article Abstract:

Several research efforts are underway, in both the US and Japan, to examine the link between computers and human thought. The use of brain signals to move a cursor and typing by mentally spelling words are two such efforts that make use of electrical signals emitted by the brain.

The possibilities of a collision between the Earth and an asteroid or a comet are examined. Some of the heavenly bodies that have come relatively close to Earth include the asteroids 1566 Icarus, 1996 JA1 and 1997 XF11.
