ITS then and now

Article Abstract:

The progress of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in America, implemented in 1992 is reviewed in the light of globalization and innovations in transport and communications. Though certain assumptions were unfounded and implemented in an unexpected manner, it is concluded that the ITS will always remain a progressive and integral part of the nations transport system.

Lawmakers, administration differ on proposed desalination funding

Article Abstract:

The debate over the proposed Desalination Water Supply Shortage Prevention Act of 2005, introduced by the House and the Senate, over the development of additional water sources, is detailed. The Department of Energy is to conduct the program by subsidizing a portion of the electricity costs, associated with desalination.
