Article Abstract:

Johns Hopkins University immunologist Diane Griffin and her colleagues have concluded that antibodies can destroy viruses growing inside neurons. The same mechanism appears to protect the nervous system, and may work in other tissues.

Spot marks the X; in females, one chromosome may lock itself inside an RNA

Research indicates that the RNA molecule helps to inactivate the X chromosome. Scientists have linked the X inactive-specific transcript gene with X inactivation.
