Is there a 'female style' in science?

Article Abstract:

Women scientists may act in a more conventional way professionally because of western socialization. The issue of a 'female style', often ignored, may even be reflected by insecure male scientists. Black molecular geneticist Lillie Searles explains how even her teaching style is influenced by social forces.

Feminists find gender everywhere in science

Article Abstract:

Neither scientists nor feminists agree on how much gender influences the behavior attitudes of scientists. Feminist philosophers such as Evelyn Fox Keller assert that through creativity, scientists can evade the limitations of culture and develop science as fully as possible.

Women struggle to crack the code of corporate culture

Article Abstract:

Women working in industrial sciences increased 4-fold between 1979-1989. Some were welcomed while others were isolated and suffered. Three areas to check before entering a company include: age of the industry or firm, number of women already there, company attitude.
