Listen up! The world's oceans may be starting to warm

Article Abstract:

Acoustic thermometry experiments indicated that the Arctic Ocean temperature is on the rise, in a fraction of the time shipbound measurements would have taken. A large-scale test in the Pacific, now facing an environmental-impact challenge, may help verify predictive models of global warming.
