Managers for the moment

Article Abstract:

Interim management may be a suitable alternative for companies with sudden management vacancies and who need individuals with desired qualification and experience to coordinate major change in the organization. Interim management means hiring experienced, senior personnel for a short period to fill a major vacancy with full management responsibilities. A machine tool manufacturer, The 600 Group, has successfully used the interim managers policy and found that they are experienced, impartial and can take initiatives but are too expensive to be a permanent solution. A person should be at least 45 years old with relevant experience to hold the position of interim manager.
