Measurements of NO(sub x) emissions and in-service duty cycle from a towboat operating on the inland river system

Article Abstract:

Continuous measurements of NO(subx) emissions were taken from a single engine on a commercial towboat operating on the Ohio River system around the Port of Pittsburgh over a one0week period. The results show the Environmental Protection Agency's IOS E3 duty cycle overestimates the actual NO(sub x) emissions for inland operation of this towboat.
