Article Abstract:

This article discusses converting water supply from primarily a groundwater system to surface water system in Houston, Texas. The project's attractive feature is in saving about $8 million in construction costs by constructing aerial pipeline crossings over highways and drainage ditches instead of using trenching or tunneling methods.

Deep aquifer storage gains ground in the Midwest

Article Abstract:

This article reports on the aquifer storage facility planned to store treated water in Des Moines, Iowa. The aquifer is situated 2,500 feet below the ground surface and reportedly the deepest in the world.
