Networking for technology acquisition and transfer

Article Abstract:

Technology transfer and acquisition from overseas is crucial for development and it also changes the paradigm of economic activities and networking, as they become more international, inter-sectoral and inter-institutional. International networking as well as technology assimilation and domestic diffusion is necessary for full use of acquired technology and further, domestic networking among industry, universities and public research institutes is necessary to use all technological capability for industrial development.

Management of technology and responsive policies in a new economy

Article Abstract:

The competitiveness, globalization, human resource development, and risk of marginalization of developing nations in the emerging new economy as well as the policies in support of developing economies are discussed. The future will be dynamic and highly nonlinear and this will place developing countries at the risk of being marginalized within the global order, which can be seen as an opportunity to drive change and propel countries and organizations toward growth and opportunity.

Meeting technology needs of enterprises for national competitiveness

Article Abstract:

The ways in which the enterprises can improve their competitiveness through the acquisition and development of technology, and how the countries are able to raise the level of industrial development and grow their gross domestic productivity (GDP) are discussed. The successful technology transfer and also the problems that can be encountered in China and the development of Arab countries from experiences gained elsewhere are illustrated.
