Neural development: mysterious no more?

The use of recombinant DNA technology is one of the factors responsible for the rapid advances in developmental neurobiology. Another factor is the discovery that patterns of neural development are similar in most animals.

Researchers find signals that guide young brain neurons: neurobiology

Embroynic brain development depends on reelin gene byproducts to steer migrating neurons to their proper locations. Recent discoveries about reelin processes, and their implications for further research, are analyzed.
