New strengths for lumber

Article Abstract:

An extensive 12-year examination of lumber strength, elasticity and building capabilities has been conducted. The 'In-Grade' testing involved wood found in typical lumberyards. Some of the conclusions will be worked into building codes, but for the most part wood frame houses are considered safe.

Clean machines

Article Abstract:

A selection of clean, environmentally-friendly lawn mowers is evaluated. The machines, from John Deere, Craftsman and Honda, meet emission standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency to start in 2003 and use less fuel than conventional mowers.
