New study says low-fat diet can lower blood pressure

Article Abstract:

A study known as DASH achieved dramatic reductions in blood pressure in adults with mild hypertension with a special low-fat, high-calcium diet, compared to a normal (control) diet. A third diet, high in fruits and vegetables and low in meats, achieved lesser reductions in blood pressure.

A first glimpse of strange matter?

Article Abstract:

Physicists working at the Brookhaven National Laboratory report two events involving H dibaryon, the lightest form of strange matter. The H particles were detected in a beam of neutral particles produced by the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron.

OGLEing, MACHOs, and the search for dark matter

Three teams of researchers are attempting to detect MACHOs using new technology that employs charged coupled device cameras. Research methods are discussed.
